CHRISTMAS & CARE
InterContinental Bali Resort has created yet another exciting program of events to celebrate the festive season. To complement the resort’s ongoing social and environmental initiatives, the 2008 festive season will be a culmination of twelve months of community care. There are several worthy projects that are currently being supported including Yayasan Bumi Sehat, a non-profit organisation providing services such as prenatal care, midwifery and paediatric care to low-income women in rural Balinese villages.
Another undertaking is the ‘Drip Trickle Irrigation’ Clean Water Project that aims to bring sanitised water supplies to a remote mountain hamlet. Visible measures will be taken this year at the resort to avoid the excessiveness that is commonly associated with the holiday season. Most importantly, surplus food supplies will be donated on a daily basis to the Panti Salam Orphanage in the regency of Tabanan.
In traditional InterContinental Bali Resort style, in-house guests will be treated to an array of dining and entertainment options. Festivities will commence on Christmas Eve with an Egg Nog Cocktail Reception at Saraswati Lounge to gather socially and hear a repertoire of carols by the childrenís choir from Panti Salam Orphanage.
Celebrations continue through until New Year’s Day with a replenishing buffet breakfast served until 1pm and a relaxed Sunset Beach BBQ.
