Balinale international film festival 2013 (4 – 10 October)

The 7th annual BALINALE International Film Festival is the only international film festival in Indonesia and recognized internationally for the quality and diversity of its programming and its professional delivery of the associated events. Balinale international film festival 2013 will celebrate the art of global cinema by presenting all genres of mainstream, independent, documentary and short films from around the world.

The weeklong event will take place at Cinema XXI Beachwalk Kuta in Bali from Oct.4 through Oct.10. Balinale is an annual film festival internationally recognized for the quality and diversity of its associated events.

This year’s festival, the seventh, coincides with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders’ summit. According to Deborah Gabinetti, festival director and co-founder, many of APEC’s 21 member countries strongly support their domestic film industries recognizing the importance of films as an effective way of leveraging a country’s visibility and boosting their economic and tourism potential.
